Jeanette Banashak, PhD is faculty and program director at Erikson Institute in Chicago, IL. She co-developed and currently directs the online MSECE program with SEL concentration and Leadership & Advocacy and has developed innovations in online andragogy for working ECE professionals pursuing higher education. A bi-lingual educator, she taught mindfulness in Chicago Public Schools in Spanish and English. She has a diploma in Forest Bathing and facilitates nature immersion experiences for children and adults in urban and rural natural environments. Dr. Banashak co-creates and facilitates professional development interventions around SEL in the state of Hawai’i and conducts supervision and coaching of reflective practices for teachers and facilitators. Dr. Banashak’s work and service emphasize co-creating learner-centered and liberatory spaces for deep, critical and justice-centered engagement.
